Passed away on: Friday, May 16, 2008
At the Brantford General Hospital on Friday May 16, 2008; Vera (nee Amy) formerly of Mt Vernon in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Art Douglas (2003); Loving mother of Larry & Anne, Oakville; Marlene & Mark Anderson, Brantford; Dear grandmother of Lorna & Steve, Graeme, Trevor and Amy. Predeceased by brothers Harold, Allan and Calvin. Vera enjoyed a long and productive life market gardening with her husband Art and was an active member of the Mt.Vernon U.C.W. Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home 134 King Street Burford on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 1:30 till 3 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jim Wencel officiating. Interment Mt.Vernon Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Vera’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
