Passed away on: Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer at Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Janet (nee Telfer) of Bethel in her 64th year. Beloved wife of Donald McAllister; Loving mother of Cheryl and Bob Clarridge of Paris, Lorraine & Joe McIlhargey of Wingham, Wayne and Keith of Paris; Cherished grandmother of Michael, Aimie, Sydney, Wyatt, Gayle, Braydon, Adam and Cristian; Dear sister of George and Grace Telfer of Tobermory, Bruce and Sherry Telfer of Paris; Survived by mother-in-law Ellen McAllister, sister-in-laws Nancy and Bert McComb of Glen Morris and Joyce and the late Richard McAllister of Paris. Predeceased by her parents Andy and Peggy Telfer. She will also be missed by cousins Cathy and Frank Rempel and David Powell of Winnipeg and Graydon Smith of Ottawa. Janet will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was a passionate and dedicated volunteer who gave wholeheartedly to her community, friends and family. Her unconditional love and inner child will be sorely missed by all. Friends will be received at the KEITH OVINGTON FUNERAL HOME 134 King Street, Burford on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Adrianne Lindsay officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the Bethel Stone United Church, the Paris Agricultural Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
