With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of Robert Kenneth McLaren on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. Loving partner and best friend of Marlene (Johnson), much loved and devoted father of Monica (Eric) Martin and Grace McLaren (Quentin Staffen). Loving Grandpa to his pride and joy, Gabriel Martin. Beloved son of Dorothy and David McLaren (Dot & Dave). Dear brother of Chris (Dave) Hastings and Scott (Christine) McLaren. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces & their spouses, great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his fur baby Maple.

Bob was a Class A mechanic, a long-time employee of Canadian Bluebird, and most recently an employee of Davis Fuels. He was a member of Burford Lions Club and Burford Golf Links. Bob was an avid golfer, gardener, great dancer and incredible cook. He and Marlene loved to travel and shared many fun trips with their close friends. He will be missed by his golfing buddies at the Barn League.

Friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pioneer Cemetery, Burford.
