Husband of Carol (Smith) Stere whom he married October 1, 1998. Father of Donna Stere of Brantford, Marvin (Marilee) of Plattsville, Ronda Kuntze (Neil Bricker) and Kelly Roth (Dave) all of Tavistock. Remembered by his grandchildren Dee (Ashley) Mosburger, Amber Stere, Brittany (Steve) Hartfiel, Karlee Roth (Jonny Kirwin) and great grandchildren Cole, Dessy and Jase Mosburger, Ben, Luke and Ella Hartfiel. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Dale, Russ, Pamela, Jeff, Jim & Jody. Step father of Troy (Michelle), Brad (Dawn), Shane Bernhardt. Step grandfather of Carly, Ryan, Jordan, Nicole (Pavel), Chase (Bailee), Lucas Bernhardt. Step great grandfather of Mason Bernhardt. Also survived by sister-in-law Ina (Jim) Seyler and by Carol's brothers Raymond (Hilda) Smith, David (Carolyn) Smith and sister-in-law Valerie Smith
Predeceased by his parents Ezra and Ida (Gerber) Stere, by brothers Verle and Neil, sister Ruthann & husband Bob Miller and nephews Trevor and Scott.
As per Orval's wishes private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. N. Plattsville with interment at a later date.
