Obituary for Lyle Douglas EDMONSTONE
EDMONSTONE: Lyle Douglas - passed away peacefully at home with family at his side on Thursday September 22, 2022, Lyle Edmonstone of Waterloo and formerly of Plattsville in his 93rd year.
Cherished husband of June Edmonstone (nee Showell) who were married on June 30, 1951. Loving father of the late Doug (Feb 24, 2022) & his wife Ruth of Thornbury, Brad of Beamsville, Brian of Lions Head, Dan (Jean) of Oshawa, Nancy of Hamilton, Susanne Leach of London and Jessica Poworoznyk (James) of Kitchener. Remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Survived by his brother Barry of Creston, B.C. and by his sister-in-law Evelyn Edmonstone of Owen Sound.
Predeceased by his parents William & Muriel (Bannister) Edmonstone and by his brother Stuart.
Lyle was known as the "Honey Man" having owned and operated the Honey House in Plattsville for over 50 years.
Visitation will take place at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. N. Plattsville on Sunday October 2, 2022 from 1-2:30pm followed by a private family service.
