Peacefully at St. Josephs’s Lifecare, Brantford on Thursday December 15, 2022. Leona (nee DeLeebeeck), of Harley, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bosmans (2020). Loving Mom of Pierrette Muth (Peter Bosch) and Darryl (Alene) Bosmans. Cherished Grandma of Maria (Camron), Melina (Jake), Kayla and Brayden. Fond memories will be shared by her grandchildren. Dearest Sister of the late Augusta Willems (late Josef), the late Steve DeLeebeeck (Edna), the late Jozef DeLeebeeck (late Jeanne), Louis DeLeebeeck (Audrey), Emilia Marynissen (late Adrian and late Marcel Verreth), Francis VanHende (Archie), Julie Marynissen (Case), Louise Van Rompaey (Steve), the late Raymond DeLeebeeck, the late Roger DeLeebeeck, the late Angela Aerts (Frank) and Robert DeLeebeeck (Marian). Predeceased by her parents Pieter & Maria DeLeebeeck. Leona will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Belgium.

Joe & Leona worked together on their farm in Harley for many years along with Leona’s work within the community of Burford.

Family and friends will be received at the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Leona’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
