Obituary for Larry William HOUSE

HOUSE: Larry William - passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Woodstock Hospital. Larry House of Woodstock and formerly of RR#1 Bright in his 81st year.

Beloved husband of Gail (nee Scott) House whom he married March 17, 1962. Dear father of the late Scott (February 17, 2021) & wife Jayne of Brantford and Tom & wife Jennifer of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Sarah, Kaitlyn, Ramsay, Nolan and Josiah. Survived by his sister Marilyn House & Joel Rock of Woodstock, by his sisters-in-law Pat House of Woodstock and Joan Hofstetter of Plattsville and by his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents William & Edith (English) House, by step father Bill Hyatt and by his brother Ted (November 16, 2017) his sister-in-law Ruth & Lorne Pettigrew and brother-in-law Bob Hofstetter.

Larry started his working career in Plattsville working at the Canada Sand Paper Factory for 10 years and then for the next 33 year at B.F. Goodrich, Uniroyal and Michelin. He was active in coaching Minor Sports in Plattsville and Bright and was involved in coaching with the Plattsville Combines Intermediate Hockey Teams. Over the years Larry was involved with many Civil War Re-enactments. He enjoyed golfing and fishing with his close friends and in retirement joined the Chesterfield Cemetery Board.

Relatives & friends will be received at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. N. Plattsville on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2 -4 pm. Public interment will take place in the Chesterfield Cemetery on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00am..

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chesterfield Cemetery, Wounded Warriors or to Sakura House and would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at wwww.gffh.ca
