Karen Pauline Mighton
October 1, 1973 - April 14, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Pauline Mighton, a cherished member of our community. Karen was born on October 1, 1973 the beloved daughter of Bob and Elaine Mighton. She passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the age of 49.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, James (Jamie) Pelletier, and their son, James Pelletier Junior. Karen was also a cherished sister to Kevin Mighton, his wife Cathy, and their daughter Kelsey. Karen was survived by sister-in-law Sarah Cassidy and Shayne and sister-in-law Denise Pelletier and her partner Shane Hill.
She was a treasured friend to many, including close friend, Cathy Rosehart and maid of honor, Jenn Countryman. Karen's passing is a great loss to her numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her friends, colleagues, and family will miss her dearly.
Karen was dedicated to her job at De Jong Enterprises, where she excelled in her role. Outside of work, Karen had a passion for reading and crafting. She was always eager to lend a helping hand to her friends, offering assistance whenever it was needed and supporting them during their events and projects.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Saint Mary's Hospital in Kitchener where Karen passed. A special thank you to Lisa Turnbull who offered tremendous emotional support. Thank you to everyone for the contributions of food and conversation during this difficult time.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 6-8 pm, and Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10 am -12 pm (noon). Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12pm. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Society, Diabetes Association, or Karen’s son James’s education fund. Karen's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Karen will always be remembered for her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
