Obituary for K. Hugh Foy
Hugh passed away in the comfort and love of his own home on Friday January 13, 2023 after a valiant fight with Glioblastoma. Dearly loved by June, father of Glen, Hanna (Derek), stepfather to Jamie (Harry), Chris (Kara) and grandfather and mentor to Rebecca, Cord, Kaden, Curtis, Justin, Lucas and Ezra. Loving older brother to Marian (Doug), Margo, and Russell (Ann).
Hugh actively sold real estate for 25 years in his home City of Brantford before accepting a position with Toronto Real Estate Board as Chief Member Development Officer. He retired from the Board in 2016 after 15 years but continued with his passion to educate and instructed real estate courses at Boards throughout the province and Canada.
He never sat still. He loved life and enjoyed every minute whether providing his auctioning skills on a Saturday morning or at numerous charity events. He was Brantford’s first Uber driver. He contributed extensively and anonymously to his community. His presence will be sorely missed in our family, but we are so grateful for every minute of the extra time we had with him.
