Obituary for Jenny Benita Davis

A beloved daughter, Jenny Davis left this world unexpectedly on Wednesday January 25, 2023. Her organs just gave out. Born in the Dominican Republic, Jenny was the chosen daughter of Bonnie and the late Robert Davis, sister to the late James Davis. Jenny grew up in Barbados and made Canada her home 10 years ago.

Like her Dad Jenny loved anything cars with a passion. She loved all animals, listening to reggae at top volume and spent many nights watching the stars above and the people below from her balcony high up in the sky. Her greatest love of all was her most cherished daughter Selena Lilliana (aged 13).

Jenny will be sadly missed by her much loved Godmothers Wanda & Rachel, ‘Godbrother’ Mackenzie, dear friends Omar, Melanie, Charmane, Tanya, Emma, Brett Cole and the Cole family in Barbados. Also by her dear Auntie Janet and cousins Holly, Julie, Geoffrey, Phillip and Louise.

An enormous thank you to John Luhovy, our rock of Gibraltar, who embraced Jenny unconditionally and gave a Mom strength and support as we all navigated unchartered waters.

A private gathering of family and friends will be held in the summer. Arrangements entrusted to the Keith Ovington Funeral Home, 134 King Street, Burford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Jenny’s memory may be made to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Canada. Keith Ovington Funeral Home 519-449-1112. www.keithovington.ca

There is a silent epidemic out there. Please show kindness, talk, listen, learn and see without judgement.
