To our deep sorrow, it pleased the Lord to take out of our midst our dearly beloved father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, Jacob Myndert Goor, on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of the late Gerritje Goor (Van Manen).
Dear Father of Wilma and her husband John Otten of Norwich, Jacqualine and her husband Andy Van Wyk of Burgessville, the late Dorothy (2020) and her husband Ed Veldjesgraaf of Burgessville Henry Goor and his wife Ria of Burgessville, Melinda and her husband Bill Van Wyk of Burgessville and Christina and her husband Les Van Wyk of Otterville.
Cherished by his 32 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Will be sadly missed by sister Riek Hendriksen (Goor) of The Netherlands, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters and 1 grandchild.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON, on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 9:30-10:15 am, at the Heritage Reformed Congregation, 685 Main Street South, Burgessville, ON.
Funeral service will be held at the Heritage Reformed Church, Burgessville, ON, on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:30 am D.V. Pastor P. Van der Hoek officiating. Interment to follow at C.G. Walker Cemetery (Quaker Street).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.
