To our deep sorrow the Lord has taken out of our midst our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother & uncle peacefully at home on Wednesday February 15, 2023.
Beloved husband to Dorothy (nee Nieuwenhuis). Loving father to Dennis and his wife Joyce, Rob and his wife Marlies, Brian and his wife Heidi, Melissa and her husband Derek and Emily and her husband Adam.
Cherished grandpa to Drew (Leah), Dylan (Katelyn) and Damon Kleen, Karen, Sam, Sym, Roger, Meghan and Krista Kleen, Gillian, Erica and Malin Kleen, Kurtis (Emily), Kendra, Benjamin, and Clayton DeHaan and Madison and Carter Crandall.
He will be sadly missed by his sisters Hillie (Hendrik-Jan) Lefers, Hennie vanSpijker, Karla (Jan) Vanderwoude and by his brother Dik (Hennie), sister-in-law Roelie Kleen, and son-in-law Theo (Hannah) DeHaan.
Dear brother-in-law of Cees and Willie Nieuwenhuis, Henk and Netty Nieuwenhuis, Larry and Gerda Nieuwenhuis, Nick and Wilma Nieuwenhuis, Lies and Teunis Vaandering and Ria and Klaas Lindeboom
Predeceased by his brother Roelof Kleen, brother-in-law Wim vanSpijker, daughter Teresa DeHaan and grandson Hunter Kleen.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich ON 519-863-3020, on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 6-8 pm and Monday, February 20, 2023 at Springford Reformed Church, 310 Church Street, Springford, ON, from 1-1:45 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Springford Reformed Church at 2 pm, D.V. Rev. W.M. Mulder officiating. Interment to follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Word & Deed or Oxford Reformed Christian School.
