Gloria Ann Pazuk
January 1, 1942 - January 31, 2020

In the fall, Gloria and her family hosted a glorious party to celebrate her life. Gloria was surrounded by many of her favourite things in life; her cherished family, wonderful friends, good food and joyful music. While in the comfort and peaceful setting of Innisfree House with her family by her side, Gloria slipped away. She managed her illness with grace and courage, and this was how Gloria strived to live her life everyday. Gloria adored her family, and was grateful for every moment spent together. She also had a deep love for dancing. Along with her other friendships, Gloria valued the relationships that grew with those who shared this passion. One way Gloria showed her love for her family and friends was through her cooking and baking. She found great joy in sharing. Gloria also fostered her love of reading over the last several years and enjoyed engaging in discussions about books she loved. From a young age, Gloria worked hard to support her family. Throughout her life, she instilled a strong work ethic, and welcomed new challenges. Gloria appreciated good music and theatre as well, making it a priority to share experiences with her daughters, granddaughters and friends. Gloria will be missed dearly by her daughters, Ramona (Mike) and Stefanie (Brent) and her three remarkable granddaughters, Aleah, Simone and Sabrina. They will continue to celebrate her everyday. “When the music stops for someone you love, you don’t stop dancing, you dance for them as well.”

We want to extend a special thank you to the compassionate doctors, nurses, PSWs and volunteers at Innisfree House who created a beautiful home for our mom. We cannot adequately express our gratitude for welcoming all of us so warmly into the home you have so thoughtfully created for your residents. Expressions of sympathy can be made through donations to Innisfree House, 2375 Homer Watson Boulevard, Kitchener, N2P 0E9.

Mom, we hope you dance . . .

Gloria and I met many years ago when she was a receptionist at a car dealership and we became friends instantly. When a job became available at an accountant's office that I worked at, I called Gloria and asked her if she would be interested in pursuing it. She was, and, of course she got the job and remained there until her retirement. Distance, life and time parted us but our friendship continued thru phone calls and Christmas cards. Gloria was a caring, loving, intelligent, fun loving lady. She was boastful of her two daughters Ramona and Stefani and three lovely granddaughters. They were the "light of her life". She loved to dance and I remember her joking and saying "I have my ducks all in a row"! Gloria left a void and I will always be thankful that she was a friend. My sincere condolences to her family. I'm saddened to hear of Gloria's passing and it brought tears to my Mom's eyes (Mary Braungart/Wilfong) when she read the obit. Those gals had a lengthy, true friendship for many years and I enjoyed visiting your home in my youth. Strength to both of you, Ramona and Stefanie. Love and Light to Gloria. xo

Kathy, thank you so much for your message. I have been trying to reach your Mom, but I don't seem to have her current phone number. Mom really valued her friendship with your Mom as well, and I enjoyed our days of piano lessons too! Many great memories!

I worked with Gloria many years ago at Boehmers and later we crossed paths when she worked at PWC.
Gloria was a kind and caring person. Her love for her family shone through. She was so proud of her girls and their families. Back in the day, I remember sharing recipes with her, her love of cooking and baking shone through too. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace Gloria. I hope you are dancing to your hearts content.

Ramona, Stefanie and family I am so very sorry for your loss . Gloria was an amazing woman who inspired and coached me in life and for that I am truly grateful. I worked with Gloria at Boehmers for a number of years and we had many good laughs and tears but what I knew for sure was her incredible love for both of you. Gloria typed up her chili recipe for me back in 1979 and I've had it in my favourite section ever since. Just this weekend I got it out to make chili for my Super Bowl party and smiled when I saw your Mom's name. I am sorry you are going through this but having Gloria for your Mom I know you can handle any situation life throws at you. I will keep your Mom and both of you in my heart and prayers.
