CRESSMAN, GLADYS IRENE
Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Friday, October 25, 2019. Gladys resided at RR#1 New Hamburg and was born 92 years ago in Wilmot Township, a daughter of the late Edmund and May (Hunsberger) Cressman.
Loving mother of Elizabeth Wagler of Eden, Manitoba, Miriam & Roy Biehn of Hawkesville, Evelyn Cressman, Paul & Lauralee Cressman, Steven & Elaine Cressman, Brian & Jewel Cressman all of New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Rodney (Roxanne) Wagler, Sherry (Les) Gingerich, Valerie (Gerald) Bauman, Bradley (Angela) Wagler, Joshua (Mary) Wagler, Beverly (Phil) Plett, Justina Biehn, Philip Biehn, Daniel (Rebecca) Biehn, Amanda Cressman, Joy (Rolin) Martin, Curtis Cressman, Bethany Cressman, and Amy Cressman. Cherished great-grandmother of 25. Gladys is survived by her brother Orval (Jeannette) Cressman, sisters Pearl Yantzi and Verna Gingerich, and sister-in-law Elaine Cressman. Gladys is predeceased by her husband Howard Cressman, son-in-law Glen Wagler, grand daughters Sarah Biehn and Cheryl Cressman, great-grandson Travis Bauman sister Mildred (John) Nafziger, brother Leonard (Rita) Cressman, brothers-in-law Lloyd Yantzi and Edgar Gingerich and by her sisters-in-law Elsie Cressman, Ruth (Clifford) Strubhar, Margaret Strubhar, and Lillian (Gordon) Bean.
Gladys was a member of Grace Mennonite Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Nith Valley Mennonite Church, 1355 Bean Road, New Hamburg. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations would be accepted to Aldaview Services, the Canadian Bible Society, or a Charity of Choice.
