Obituary for George HARTIG
HARTIG: George - passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Lanark Heights Long Term Care, Kitchener. George Hartig of RR#1 Plattsville in his 92nd year.
George is survived by his brother-in-law Rudy Roesler of Kitchener and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Johann & Sofia (Zaig) Hartig, by his sister Sophie Roesler and by brothers Johann, Mike and twin brother Martin Hartig.
George was a longtime employee of G & A Masonry, Breslau, worked for many years at Hybrid Turkey and farmed at RR#1 Plattsville.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St. Plattsville. A celebration of George's life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be posted at www.gffh.ca
