Orth, Caroline Marie
After a lengthy time of illness, Caroline Marie Orth (Carroll), formerly of Burgessville, passed at the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in her 85th year.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Roger Elwood Orth (2008) and her son Paul (1960). Dear mother of Jane Wood of Woodstock and Dave and wife Karen of Burgessville. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Amelia (Toomas Kimsto), Brady Wood, Lucy, Jacob and Isaac Orth. Also survived by her friends Betty Lowes and Ruth Ferris.
For many years, Caroline volunteered at the Norwich Historical Society, Canadian Cancer Society and the Burgessville United Church. She loved nothing more than looking after her family and participating in farm life by cutting grass, going on "parts runs", raking hay, and keeping the bookwork up to date.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to Trillium Retirement Home, for the care Caroline received over the last ten years.
Family and friends will be received at the Arn-Lockie Funeral Home, 45 Main Street West, Norwich, ON 519-863-3020, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 6-8 pm. A private family service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, with interment following, at the New Durham cemetery.
