Obituary for Amelia "Millie" SEEGMILLER

SEEGMILLER: Amelia “Millie” Duncan (nee Stott) - It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of “Millie” Seegmiller at her home at The Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock, surrounded by her loving family.

Millie was born 92 years ago in Ellon, Scotland, immigrating to Canada as a child and living most of her life in the Drumbo/Innerkip area.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Leonard Seegmiller in 2004. Millie is survived by her children; Margaret (Don), Brenda (George), Sharon (Bruce), Bill (Merle) and Jennifer (Ted) and by 9 adoring grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Millie is also survived by her brother-in-law Bob Sinden and many nieces and nephews with fond memories of their Aunt Millie.

She was the youngest of 7 and was predeceased by siblings, Molly (Lawrence), Bess (Bill), Frank (Margaret), Jim (Eileen), Sally, John (Lorene) and Tibby. She was also predeceased by in-laws, Katherine (Glenn), Ezra (Norah), Fred (June) and George (Lyla).

Visitation will be held at the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St., N., Tavistock from 1:30-6pm on Friday, January 10, 2020. A private family burial will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 followed by a memorial service at 1:30 pm at the Francis Funeral Home.

Millie’s family wishes to thank the staff of The Maples for their loving, compassionate care over the past few years. To the Maples Staff - Your love and support is truly appreciated. We could not have asked for anything better.
